The pike

The pike is a predator with a mouth in the shape of a duckbill, of a green-brown color with a pearly white belly. An adult pike measures from 50cm to 1m for 2 to 10 kg, but some specimens can exceed the meter. Pike breeding starts at the end of winter or early spring, the female lays 10,000 to 20,000 eggs per kilo of her weight that attach to the grass, they feed on zooplankton, small invertebrates and finally fish, the pike's mouth contains about 700 backward-facing teeth. It can be fishing throughout the year except the months between February and May these fishing techniques are the most effective live, hand-dead and lures.
